Brother Bobcat’s Journey to Health

Brother Bobcat loves to herd his big fluffy sheep and cows. He also loves to eat junk food. One day Brother Bobcat got very sick and had to go to the hospital. Suddenly his life is turned upside down. Can he learn to eat the right foods to get healthy? Will he ever be able to herd his sheep and cows again? Brother Bobcat is a tale of struggles with diabetes and having to start dialysis and Bobcat’s determination to return to health. The story was written to teach American Indian and Indigenous children how they can help their family members when they have Type 2 diabetes and are on dialysis.

The book has humorous illustrations by Lillian Bedonie.
